Utah Conservatory – Music Lessons
Students play as a group band. Vocals, Drums, Keys, Guitar, Bass, etc., are welcome to apply for proper placement. Please see registrar for class requirements and new band member casting. Students may work on different instruments and will have rock concerts towards the end of their sets. Weekly private lessons required with Conservatory teacher to participate in this class.
While the kids are out, have fun being creative, and learning music with other adults. Come and sing, play guitar, bass, drums, or keyboards. Release your inner rock star and develop music and performance skills. It feels great to beat those drums, wail into a microphone, and shred it up on a guitar! Let’s show ‘em what you got! Private lessons required in addition to band practice.
Viola, Cello, and Bass students, are welcome to join this fun and unique ensemble. The Da CAPO goal is to help the students have a variety of performance experiences that will help them become well-rounded musicians. Students will have the opportunity to do recording sessions, collaborative performances and recitals. Students will learn playing skills such as performing in a group setting, understanding basic conducting motions, and feeling comfortable performing individually and as a group. Private lessons or participation in another orchestra required. Taught by Tim Rohwer.
(This specialty performance training and vocal class is included in tuition for enrolled monthly students of teacher, Debra Cook.) Perfect your performance skills and grow as a vocalist by performing each week in class, and learning the basics of a genuine performance.
